Meet Amy England

Amy England was re-elected for her second term on October 27, 2014 and has brought progressive changes to Oshawa and Durham Region. In addition to her role as councillor she is the Vice Chair of Health and Social Services, the Child and Youth Advocate at the region. At the city level she is the Chair of Corporate Services and  the Vice Chair of Finance.

She has been happily married to her husband Andrew for two years and they welcomed their first daughter, Millie, on December 13, 2013. Amy is committed to making Oshawa a better city for your family and hers.

She is dedicated to representing a diverse population and has proven to be a strong advocate delivering effective solutions for seniors, families, youth and pets. Amy is willing to fight for what she believes in to better our city, like standing up for marginalized members of the community and placing importance on arts and culture. Amy was elected on a progressive platform focusing on three key areas including accessibility, sustainability and accountability. With a clear vision and the leadership skills needed to move Oshawa forward, Amy will continue to make a difference over the next four years.
